Ojoma Abamu

Born on 3rd May, 1991 and the last child in a family of 6, Ojoma grew up in the city of Port Harcourt in Rivers state, Nigeria. Growing up he was quite social and was loved by the community. He attended Stepping Stone Educational Centre for his primary school education and later attended both Starlet Academy and Olivet Heights for his secondary school education. After second school he proceeded to the University, first at the European university of Lefke in Cyprus for a computer engineering bachelor degree. Physics has always been his first choice and once a good opportunity to study Engineering physics at the prestigious Carl von Ossietzky University, Oldenburg came calling, it was an opportunity he couldn’t pass. He left his computer engineering program to pursue his passion in Germany.

His main hobby is playing basketball and is a semi-professional playing for the BTB Royals in Oldenburg. When he’s not playing basketball, he enjoys urban farming and grows his own tomatoes, thyme and basil among others.
He is also an avid reader of reports and articles in his professional field and likes to be updated about current developments in his field. He is very interested in renewable energies and this is also reflected in his decision to carry out a couple of research projects at the Carl von Ossietzky University. These projects range from lithium ion batteries to semiconductors to wind energy which will be discussed in more details on the Project page.
